LISAA

LISAA, L'Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués, is a private French school of applied arts founded in Paris in 1986 by the architect and entrepreneur Michel Glize. It is not a university but a specialist art and design institute, one of around a hundred schools recognised by the French Ministry of Culture, and since 2012 part of the Galileo Global Education group. Teaching is organised into four core disciplines, each with its own dedicated Paris school: fashion design, interior architecture and design, graphic design and motion, and animation and video games. Beyond Paris the network extends to campuses in Nantes, Rennes, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Montpellier, with an additional site in Bangalore. Programmes run from a one-year foundation course through BTS and bachelor-level diplomas to five-year master's-level qualifications, plus post-diploma and professional courses, all built around studio practice, live briefs and portfolio development for the creative industries. The school positions itself as training for creative careers, pairing technical craft with the development of an individual creative signature and structured career guidance. LISAA belongs to Cumulus, the international association of art and design universities, and maintains academic partnerships with European and American institutions, with several programmes and admissions services available to international students in English.
