Cours Florent

Cours Florent is a private French performing-arts school founded in Paris in 1967 by the theatre pedagogue François Florent and today directed by Simone Strickner. Originally a drama conservatoire, it has broadened into a multidisciplinary arts school covering theatre and cinema, musical theatre (added in 2012), music including songwriting and production (added in 2013), and improvisation and stand-up comedy. Its Paris base is spread across six buildings in the 19th and 20th arrondissements, offering some twenty-three teaching studios, including two dance studios, open continuously from 9am to 10.30pm, with rehearsal rooms students can book outside class hours. Beyond Paris, the school has opened campuses in Brussels (2013), Montpellier (2015) and Bordeaux (2017). Alongside French-language training it runs international acting tracks taught in English, German and Spanish, plus dedicated programmes for children and teenagers and executive courses in public speaking and leadership. Certifying routes include an RNCP Level 7 qualification and a three-year bachelor's degree delivered with Regent's University London. The school is part of the Galileo Global Education group. Admission is by audition, and Cours Florent highlights its record of César-winning alumni and its student support commitments, including round-the-clock psychological services.
